Sam, has had numerous experiences teaching and performing on both violin and viola. Mr. Wang is an alumnus of the well regarded San Francisco Conservatory of Music where he received his Masters in viola, chamber music, and orchestral literature. While at the San Francisco Conservatory he studied with associate principal violist, Jay Liu, from the San Francisco Symphony, on a full scholarship. He also holds his bachelors of music from the Renmin University of China where he secured his principal violist post. Wang’s talent has allowed him to perform concerts with the China Central Opera Orchestra, China National Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra National for the Performing Arts. In 2010 the China Philharmonic invited Mr. Wang to collaborate with them on their soundtrack project. The University of Oklahoma also invited him to perform chamber music and featured him as a guest Solo Artist in 2010. In addition to performing, Sam excels in teaching violin and viola from zero-based to high level. Mr. Wang’s students have held principal violin positions in both Golden State Youth Symphony and Palo Alto Chamber orchestra.
